The 4 BEST ways to change your emotional state
Wake up in the morning and get your butt moving. Just 10 minutes of yoga, or even a few sets of pushups and squats in the morning can do the trick. Movement is just as much about feeling good as it is about looking good. When you excerise, you release all sorts of neurotransmitters that put you in an inspired and positive state.
How do you want to show up in the world? Write out three affirmations that remind you of who you are at your highest self. When you need a pick me up, don’t just say your affirmations, really FEEL ‘em. When you’re feeling down, remind yourself of why you’re a badass!
Most people don’t realize this, but we can meditate anywhere, anytime. You don’t have to sit in lotus position for an hour to meditate, you just need to set the intention to be mindful. Set aside five minutes while walking or sitting to slow down, recalibrate, and be present. Meditation is a powerful tool and one I recommend to everyone.
Songs are easily anchored to a particular emotion. Find a song that pumps you up or one that makes you happy and download those songs... have them ready to play! I play music ALL THE TIME, from getting me fired up for a workout to inspiring me for a client I have in five minutes, music is a fun and quick way to change your state.
